Finnish Circus Artist Sakari Männistö
Assignment for Helsingin Sanomat featuring adored Finnish Circus Artist Sakari Männistö. A feature on his career-to-date in celebration of his fortieth birthday.
When I was given the assignment, I knew exactly where I wanted to photograph Sakari; I knew of an artwork in Shoreditch that was made out of colourful dots, which looked very similar to the juggling balls he brought with him on the day. The artwork behind him looks as if it’s made from juggling balls, and the pastel colours felt especially fitting for a lighthearted feature about him on his birthday.
