For Helsingin Sanomat: photographing Sam Cader and his corgis in Windsor.

A story that began with a familiar British image, but opened into something broader around breeding, health and welfare.

Photographed in Windsor, the setting helped place the story within a recognisable royal and national context, while the images also focused on the everyday interaction between the dogs, their owner and the public around them.

Yesterday, I was on assignment outside Buckingham Palace shortly after news broke that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been arrested on his 66th birthday.

Commissioned by @helsinginsanomat, I photographed the reactions of people stopping in front of the palace.

There was no spectacle, just a steady stream of conversations. Students, tourists and passersby paused to share their thoughts. A mix of weariness, frustration and, for some, a sense that accountability was overdue.

The King’s standard was flying above the palace, a quiet reminder of the institution at the centre of it all.
